Who I am, and what I do!

Brief history:

My name is Louise Wright and I have a passion for health, fitness and sport. I have always loved sport; reveling in the way it brings people and nations together. I have always tried new things and play as much sport as I can, loving the way it makes me feel and the team work involved. Inevitably, upon finishing my A-Levels, this devotion led me to undertake an Exercise and Sport Science degree at the University of Exeter.

My degree allowed me to explore the world of health, fitness and sport in more depth. I studied physiology and anatomy, biochemistry, biomechanics, psychology, clinical exercise prescription and more. I played netball for the university, I volunteered as a research assistant and at the “Action After Stroke” clinic (giving physiotherapy and 1:1 sessions to stroke victims) – all in all, I loved it. In 2011 I graduated from Exeter with a First Class Honours BSc degree.

After a short time out to explore the other side of the world (Australia, Fiji and New Zealand) at the beginning of 2012, I decided to take my passion for health and fitness, as well as helping others, and mix them together – I qualified as an Elite Personal Trainer with Vision Fitness Academy in September 2012, and am fully REPs (Register of Exercise Professionals) registered and insured.

Shortly after I set up my own business – The Wright Direction – and that’s where you come in! The Wright Direction is my Personal Training business, and is there for any age, any ability, and any one to get FIT, HEALTHY and HAPPY.  With my business I run 1:1 sessions as well as outdoor fitness classes, known as BOOT CAMP.

My Elite Personal Training qualification (gained with Vision Fitness Academy) also includes Kettlebells, Circuits, Spinning and Pad-Work. I also have my GP Referral qualification – this allows me to work within clinical populations; people with diabetes, arthritis, osteoporosis, hypertension, joint replacements – to name but a few! There is NOTHING to stop ANYONE starting and continuing exercise and that’s where I am there to help.

Now, that is enough about me – it’s time to start thinking about your journey.

I look forward to working with you in the future; I will be there for you every step of the way.
